We Love Our Forests, and Do The Work To Show It.
Our Forest Stewardship Program protects our public lands through hands-on trail work that keeps recreation safe and sustainable.
As part of this Program, we have also partnered with the US Forest Service to fund the removal of thousands of pounds of garbage from our public lands.
We are on a mission to fund 10 dumpsters over the next year – ensuring continued stewardship of the natural landscapes that define our community.
But We Can’t Do It Alone.
We are looking for local businesses and groups to support this work, and show the community that you care, too!
This wonderful tour of festively decorated holiday homes has served as a fundraiser for the Teller County community since 1999. Since inception, they have raised $336,493 for local nonprofits! Learn More.

These amazing community members have stepped up to go above and beyond and personally Sponsor A Dumpster. We are proud to have them as Forest Stewardship Partners!
Great Question! Our full application can be found here. Simply fill it out and we’ll be in touch about invoicing and your brand recognition.
Each Dumpster Load runs approximately $500. You, your business, or group can Sponsor either a Full Dumpster ($500) or a Half Dumpster ($250). Full Details and Application can be found here.
It depends. On average USFS Staff and Volunteers fill 1 Dumpster per month during non-winter months. The order is first come first serve for Sponsors.
Sort of. We LOVE what our friends at Focus on the Forest (FOF) do, and they do an Amazing job! This program actually helps in their efforts as well.
FOF does a lot of event/area specific dumpsters for heavy projects. USFS staff (and sometimes FOF Volunteers) also regularly fill the 30yrd dumpster at the USFS
Work Station here in Woodland Park.
Unfortunately, USFS hasn’t been able to pay the dump fee to empty these dumpsters.
So, while everyone has been doing a great job collecting the trash, there has been an excessive build up at the work station that is becoming its own problem.
That’s where we are stepping in to help the trash on its next leg of the journey to the dump.
FOF is amazing, and we hope to do a cleanup collaboration this year!
Nope. It also includes all of our trail work, land restoration, and way finding initiatives on USFS Land. The Sponsor A Dumpster piece is the newest addition, and the one we are more actively fundraising for as we head in to camping season!
